Sloane & Alex's Western Reserve Historical Society Wedding-Hannah Courtyard

Elegant and classic are the first two words that come to mind when I think of Sloane and Alex's beautiful Western Reserve Historical Society wedding in the Hannah Courtyard. Now one of my favorite wedding locations.  When I first stepped into it,  I was immediately in love with the beautiful historical architecture of the mansion and courtyard.  This really was perfect for Sloane and Alex.  Joe, the planner at the WRHS, was also wonderful to work with!  Beautiful, unseasonally cool weather, and a loving and beautiful couple made this day just perfect!
Preparations for the girls were at the WRHS as the guys finished up at the Cleveland Marriott Hotel with John.  After the outdoor ceremony we captured family and formal portraits outdoors in one of the courtyards.  Outdoor family portraits are always my favorite!  Then just down the street we photographed at the Cleveland Art Museum/University Circle pond...always a beautiful photography location and so nice especially for wedding photography.  The video team of Kurt Maechner Videography was awesome to work with and John and I loved working with another couple!
The reception was at the Cleveland Marriott Hotel. Marriott service is always fantastic and makes for a wonderful evening!

Stephen & Molly's Cleveland Wedding

Stephen and Molly came from Chicago to Cleveland to celebrate their wedding with all their families and friends!  And the family and friends did celebrate!  Such a loving and fun group....I found myself laughing along with them throughout the day!  They were initially drawn to each other because they both came from big loving families and had amazing friends! Both of them having attended Xavier University, the event was filled with alumni and camaraderie!
After capturing some pictures with the Cleveland skyline it was off to the reception!  I was so touched by Stephen and Molly's parent dances. Molly surprised her father, Terry, with an Irish song appropriately named Molly.... they sung that song together as they danced and it was adorable! Her father let everyone know that "it use to be their door bell chime"!  Then there was Stephen's dance with his mother, Joan, so very touching.  Family events, moments and emotions often culminate at the parent dances.  Stephen's family joined him and Joan towards the end of their dance.  It was a beautiful and meaningful moment and we loved being able to capture the emotion felt between them all.
Thank you Molly and Stephen!
