Samantha & Kyle's Cherokee Hills/Valley City Wedding

Kyle and Samantha came from beautiful Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to be married near their families and Ohio friends!  They moved to SC for Kyle's career as a fire fighter/paramedic.  While there Samantha finished her nursing school and now they both enjoy working and living along the coast.  But getting married in the small town of Valley City was a must!
The ceremony was at St. Martin's Catholic Church.  We loved photographing in this community!  Everyone was so friendly and we really appreciated the lack of crazy traffic!  With half of the groomsmen being fire fighters, we had a little fun with the local big red engine and their "up for anything" wedding party!  We also stopped at a local barn to capture a few more natural shots and then off to the reception at Coppertop!  Filled with adorable country accents, from burlap hearts to a table of unbelievable sweet treats, the reception was a perfect ending to a beautiful country day!

I loved Samantha's approach so much that I had to show a couple of them!

Our Wedding Anniversary at Landoll's Mohican Castle

On a more personal note...John and I celebrated our wedding anniversary Saturday at the amazing and beautiful Landoll's Mohican Castle.  A popular place for weddings and those wanting high adventure canoeing, hiking etc.  Obviously from the gorgeous accommodations we had, we were looking more for a relaxing weekend. So in between two great engagment sessions and awsome fall weather, we couldn't have asked for a better get away! Here's just a few quick pictures of our stay!
Thank you John for the suprise horse-drawn carriage ride and Champaign!  I never knew how much fun those could be!

Glenmoor Country Club Wedding of Megan and Jesse

Glenmoor Country Club weddings are special just because of the beautiful venue.  But this wedding was beyond just beautiful, it was stunning! Megan and Jesse are the type of couple that everyone loves.  They are so thoughtful and sincere and when you are with them they make you feel special.  The night before the wedding Jesse decorated the bridal suite in roses and other flowers for Megan. They gave beautiful gifts to each other and Megan also gave her father a gift.  It's a little hard to put into words, but the toast given at the reception touched on it beautifully. Her maid-of-honor, married just 2 weeks prior, toasted to how Megan gushed like a little school girl when she talked about Jesse. She also admired Megan's thoughtfulness.  Her father spoke of Megan wrapped in a pink blanket, telling her they were "going to have a fun ride in this life together".  He recalled how he held her little hand and one day went to visit her and she was holding someone else's hand, of course this was Jesse.  The stories go on and on about this loving couple.

As for the wedding....the preparations were at Glenmoor Country Club and the wedding ceremony at St Paul's Catholic Church. The guest were escorted back to Glenmoor for a courtyard cocktail hour. This is when Jesse and Megan were able to take their first peek into the reception hall, that Megan and her mother, Jan, had envisioned.  The florist, Karen DuBose of Alpha Home Services and Glenmoor's planner,  Melinda Sparkawk, were feverishly adorning the room with the final details as Jesse and Megan came into the room.  As you can see from the images, it easily took their breaths away. With the chairs and candles decorated with pearl and crystal strands, no detail was forgotten.  The wedding was truly gorgeous.  Beautiful couple, loving families, amazing bridal party and jaw- dropping wedding details, made you feel as if you had walked into a fairy tale. I can't help but feel like their lives together will be very similar!
